Wiley/Blackwell 2010 journals unavailable - RESOLVED 3/10/10

We have been attempting to obtain an acceptable license renewal with Wiley since September 2009. They continue to place language in their license which Rice General Counsel and library staff agree are unacceptable.

Unlike the industry standard to continue access while good faith negotiations are underway, Wiley has removed our access for 2010 content.

We continue to negotiate with the publisher for a suitable license; in the (hopefully, short) interim, please let our interlibrary loan office know - via the ILLiad request system - what articles you need from any of this publisher's journals, and the library will obtain copies for you.

Update: 3/10/10 - 3pm

Fondren Library and Wiley have come to a verbal agreement regarding the licensing terms for our Wiley renewal.

Pending formal completion of the license, Wiley has reactivated Rice University's access to 2010 journal content.
