Alexander Street Press databases down, 10/10/07

This just in from Alexander Street Press:

"Service Interruption Saturday, November 10

All Alexander Street Press databases will be down for routine maintenance and upgrades on Saturday, Nov 10 from approximately 7:00pm-11pm EST."

Fondren Catalog down 11/21/07 6pm - 11/23/07 10am

Fondren Library wants to inform you that our catalog will be going offline on November 21st at 6:00pm and will back online on November 23rd at 10:00am. The reason the catalog will be unavailable is the server will be moved off-campus to the Data Center.

"Users who search and attempt to download journal articles are receiving an error message. Our IT Department is working on this problem now, and I will notify you when the fix is made.

IEEE Xplore down 11/10/07 - 8am-noon

Just in from IEEE:

"Dear IEEE online subscriber:

On Saturday, 10 November, IEEE will implement an upgrade to the IEEE Xplore digital library.

As a result, users will experience approximately 2-4 hours of downtime on that date, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. EST. This update includes the following features:
* Tabbed search results, including a beta test of Application Notes, practical content for working engineers
* Citation (Known Item) search, RefWorks/BibTeX citation download, and improved author search
* Subscriptions to IEEE Expert Now educational courses available through the IEEE Xplore platform
