LexisNexis Congressional transcripts

LexisNexis has discovered a glitch - and a work-around - in the links in their system to non-digital hearing transcripts. The problem occurs with a Basic search and Search by Number forms. (Link is Legislative histories, and Bills & Laws should be functional; links to PDFs are also unaffected.)

LN will be fixing the problem with a system change on February 11, and until then recommends the following to access hearings records/transcripts in the LN Congressional database:

• go to the Advanced search,
  
• select the option “All fields including full text” and
  
• choose something such as the name of the committee and the date to create a search that will retrieve the content you need.

MetaPress (journal platform; Springer journals) down, 1/24 AM

We have discovered that the ejournal platform MetaPress is down this morning.

A number of our journals are hosted on this platform, especially those from Springer.

We apologize for this inconvenience and will update you when/as the problem is resolved.

IOP journals down, 1/22, 2:30am-11am Central

Just in from the publisher:

"We would like to inform you that on Saturday, January 22nd, the IOPscience service will be unavailable for approximately 8.5 hours, between 8:30am and 5:00pm BST (3:30am and 12:00pm EST).
