Due to essential site maintenance, access may be interrupted during the indicated date and time.

SciVerse (ScienceDirect/Scopus) downtime, 11/7 & 11/13

The products and services mentioned above are expected to be offline and unavailable for approximately 4 hours on November 7th and 6 hours on November 13th. During this time, upgrades will be implemented and maintenance performed. Please see below:

OCLC FirstSearch service will be unavailable from 1:00- 5:00 am on Sunday, October 17 for maintenance. Service will resume by 5:00 am Houston time.

E-Journal Portal: service may be affected 10/16, 2-8am

Due to a product upgrade, the E-Journal Portal may experience intermittent interruptions or service degradation on Saturday, October 16, 2-8 a.m. Central Time.

Ulrich's down 10/15, 8-10pm

Due to a product upgrade, Ulrichsweb may be unavailable Friday, October 15, 2010, for up to two hours starting at 8 p.m. Central Time.

Informaworld journal site experiencing problems, 10/12/10

From the InformaWorld ejournal hosting site:

"Informaworld is currently experiencing technical difficulties with our green access icon.
Not only is it displaying against content to which an institution is entitled, but the green icon is also being displayed against content to which users are not subscribed.

This error is currently being investigated by our technical team and we will contact informaworld account administrators once we have a release date for the fix.

Please note this does not in any way affect online access to subscriptions.

We do apologise for any problems this is causing you or your patrons and we hope to have a resolution to this issue in place soon."

We at Fondren Library suggest checking our Ejournal Portal for dates of availability if you are experiencing problems accessing journal issues.

Naxos Music server problems, 10/1/10 11:30am; RESOLVED noon

Just in from Naxos:

"We are experiencing some server trouble at the moment--one of our authentication servers dropped at about 10:40 a.m. US Central Time. We have our tech team working like crazy on this and hope to have everything back up and running as soon as possible."

Our apologies for any inconvenience.

Update:
We have received (at noon) the following from Naxos

"Thank you for your patience with our server trouble this morning. It appears that the server is back up and running, so your access should be restored. You may need to restart the browser you were using to access the [Naxos] libraries." [emphasis added]
