AIAA website down, 7/23/2008; resolved 7/24/2008

This just in from AIAA:

"The AIAA web site was subject to an outside attack. We have temporarily shut the site down as a defensive strategy. All available IT resources are focused on restoring the site. To our knowledge, there has been no loss of data or data exfiltration.

We hope the problems will be resolved this Friday.

We apologize for any inconvenience this disruption may cause."

Fondren staff received notification at noon, on 7/24/2008, that the AIAA believes all access problems have been resolved. Please contact us if you are still experiencing problems.

AIAA website technical problems - 7/14/2008

Just in from AIAA:

"AIAA experienced a lightening strike Sunday night that brought its website down. We are still experiencing some problems and in particular, a search in the Electronic Library returns a message "invalid search criteria". We are working to correct these problems."
