GOBI Performance Update

"We're having some issues with our server right now so we're
focusing on reconciling that. We hope to have everything fixed by sometime next week...

ArtStor upgraded instructor folders

ArtStor has upgraded two features of their software: 1) the ability to zoom into an image and save detail, and 2) the functionality of folders used by those on instructor-level accounts.

WilsonWeb service interruption, 8/20/09, 9pm-11pm

Just in from Wilson:

"Please be aware that on Thursday, August 20, 2009, from 10:00 PM to midnight (Eastern Time), the H.W. Wilson Company will conduct an important upgrade to the WilsonWeb system. During this two-hour period, WilsonWeb won't be available for searching."

Databases impacted are: Applied science & technology index, Art index retrospective, Book review digest plus, Library Literature, and Readers' guide retrospective.

Knovel technical manuals upgraded, 8/17/09 2pm-6pm

Just in from Knovel:

"This afternoon, beginning at 3 PM Eastern Standard Time Knovel will begin a technical upgrade of our service. The upgrade process will be completed before 7 PM. During the upgrade period you should not notice disruption to your use of Knovel.

Upgrades to Knovel will include enhancements to result displays, a new Graphs, Equations, Tables (GET) search, and the introduction of auto-complete and spell check functions. "
