IEEE xplore down, 2/2/11 ; RESOLVED 3pm

Just in from IEEE:

"Due to inclement weather and subsequent power issues in the New Jersey IEEE corporate office, IEEE Xplore is currently unavailable. IEEE is working diligently to restore service as soon as possible and we will provide updates to you as we receive them.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused."

RESOLVED - 3PM Houston Time

"IEEE Xplore is now back online and available for all of our subscribers. The disruption in access earlier today was due to a power outage caused by inclement weather conditions in New Jersey. This issue was then further complicated by connectivity issues with our backup site in Arizona.

IEEE has remedied the issue and does not expect any further downtime. Now that access has been restored, IEEE will undertake a thorough review of our failsafe processes in order to provide the best experience possible for our valued customers.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience as we worked through this issue. "
